Privacy policy
How Ev-Air-Tight Services collects, uses and protects the information you share with us through this website.
Ev-Air-Tight Services, operating as Ev-Air-Tight Roofing Services (“Ev-Air-Tight Services,” “we,” “us” or “our”), is a commercial roofing contractor serving Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the inquiries, inspection requests and quote requests you send us through it.
1. Scope and updates
This policy covers personal information collected through this website and through communications that start here, such as a message sent from our contact form or a call to the phone number listed on the site. It does not cover information we collect in the course of performing roofing work under a contract with you, which is governed by that contract. We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request an inspection, a repair or a quote through our contact form, we ask for your name, company, email address, phone number, the address of the building, the type of service you need and a description of what you are seeing on your roof. If you call or email us, we keep the information you provide in that conversation, including notes about your building and your roof. If you apply to work with us, we collect the information in your application.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site is delivered by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs: the IP address of your device, the pages you request, the date and time, your browser type and the website that referred you. We use these logs only to keep the site running, secure and available. The contact page includes a map from Google Maps; when that map loads, Google may set cookies and collect information about your device and usage under Google’s own privacy policy. This website does not currently use advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics software on it. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your request: schedule a roof walk, investigate a leak, prepare a proposal, and communicate with you about the work.
- To perform and document roofing work you hire us for, including inspection reports, photographs of your roof, warranties and closeout documents.
- To register manufacturer warranties on your behalf, which requires sharing the building address and owner details with the manufacturer.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
- To contact you about services we think may be useful to you, such as a maintenance program. You can opt out of these messages at any time.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers. Companies that host this website, deliver contact form submissions to our inbox, and provide our email and office software. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Roofing manufacturers. Siplast, Soprema, GAF, Carlisle, Johns Manville, Elevate, Versico, Henry, Garland and other manufacturers whose systems we install, when registering a warranty or arranging a manufacturer inspection for your roof.
- Subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, to the extent needed to complete the work.
- Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
- Business transfers. If Ev-Air-Tight Services is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you have asked to receive updates from us, you can stop them at any time by replying to the message or contacting us. Please note that we may need to keep certain records, such as inspection reports and warranty documents, for as long as the law or a warranty requires.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including serving this website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and limiting access to contact form submissions to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Where your information is processed
We are based in Maryland, and your information is processed in the United States. Our website hosting and form providers may store data in data centers in the United States or elsewhere; where that happens, they are contractually required to protect it.
8. How long we keep information
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you hire us, for the life of the work and any warranty that applies to it, plus the period required by applicable law. Website server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
9. Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
This website links to manufacturer websites, Google Maps and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them.
11. State privacy rights
Residents of certain states, including Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, Utah and California, have additional rights under state privacy laws, which may include the right to confirm whether we process your personal information, to access and obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or certain profiling. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You may appeal a decision we make about your request by replying to our response.
